SkyWing Poetry Books

Click on the book cover to purchase from Lulu or buy from SkyWing directly using the links provided at the bottom. Most of our books are also available through Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Ingrams for your convenience but please note that we can barely afford a cup of coffee using what we receive from a book sale after they collect their distributing fee. If you want to be fair to us and the effort we put into creating these books for your enjoyment, as we hope you do, please consider using Lulu or SkyWing as your purchasing venue.

Don't like the shipping price inside Canada that Lulu has started charging?

We don't blame you - we don't like the way they jumped it from around $5 to $9 for a single book while Canada Post's regular price stayed around the $5 mark.

To avoid this, we placed links at the bottom of this page so you can buy from SkyWing directly. We appreciate your patronage and support, and don't want to nickel & dime you. The price we post with each Paypal link IS inclusive.

Poetry Publishing Partnership Program

Now you can lay your hands on other poetry micro-press books published by SkyWing's "friends-in-publication" directly through us. We love Indy presses but these are not those. These are small presses that actively promote poets other than themselves inside Canada's cultural environment. Providing well-crafted literature for the reading populace means taking a dive among the large presses that can afford to publish and immediately purchase masses of their own books to drive up stats on sites like Amazon, putting themselves on the top-selling lists for higher visibility and larger volume of sales. It's a cut-throat industry and it happens, yes. Small presses provide books of equal and sometimes better quality writing but don't have the financial resources to make themselves prominent that way or through profuse advertising expenditures. Some carry the weight of every task involved in production and have little time left for extensive social media promotion. Whatever the story is for each one, SkyWing is mutually supportive of their venture and encourages its audience to check them out too. Being rarer, having smaller press runs, these are the books that stand a good chance of becoming much more valuable over time. Sometimes it's better NOT to simply go with the flow. ;)
