Anthology Submission Guidelines
GENERAL GUIDELINES:
ALL publications will be 6x9 glossy, coloured cover trade books.

ALL submissions MUST be emailed to skywingpress@gmail.com in the submission period or they will be ignored.
​
Submit up to three poems in the body of the email (attachments will be disregarded and your submission fee considered a donation toward the publication). Indicate your legal name and pen name (if you use one). Pay your submission fee through the Paypal link provided on this page for the active contest.
​
The following statement MUST be included in the body of your email:
"I, (insert legal name), confirm that the poems included in this submission are my own creation and give SkyWing full publication rights for one year after publication before I will allow them to be published anywhere else."
Simultaneous submissions are allowed but please indicate this in your submission and notify SkyWing immediately if accepted elsewhere. Previously published poems are also acceptible with publication credit included.

Poem Length: must be no longer than 72 lines in length (including blank lines).
​
Submission Fee: 1 poem for $5 CAD or 3 poems for $10 CAD , Multiple submissions are allowed.
Successful entrants will be contacted later for a short bio <50 words and a b&w 2" x 3" 300dpi photo of themselves, so make sure you use an email address you check on a regular basis.

Prizes: 1st prize - $100 + Certificate and book, 2nd prize - $50 + Certificate and book, 3rd prize - $25 + Certificate and book, Three Honourable Mentions - Certificate and a Free Book
​
ALL poets published will be able to order personal copies at wholesale cost. They can NOT be sold at a price lower than the set retail price but in buying wholesale and selling retail every enterprising poet can bag some extra loot!
​
SkyWing contests have blind judges. They will not know whose poems they are reading while doing the adjudication and no entrant will know the judge to ensure there is no external influence during the reading period.

Particulars for the Roll Call; Days of War Anthology - SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW CLOSED

Winning poets who submit writing dedicated to a family member who died in combat, was a war Veteran or P.O.W. will be asked if they wish to submit details of service and a photo of that person for inclusion with their poem.
​
ARTISTS may submit artwork that fits the theme. No remuneration can be forthcoming for this but they will receive publication credit. If you wish to do this, please include a statement that it is your own work in the body of the email and send as a 300 dpi attachment. If the art image is sent in colour IT WILL BE CONVERTED TO B&W with no guarantee that the contrast will meet your particular expectation so it would be best for you to convert it to your own standards first.

SkyWing Press would like to contribute 50% of any profit made by this venture to a credible organization assisting Canadian War Veterans. Opportunity for this remains unknown, being a pilot venture, but that is the intention.
